February is flying. Are you on track with your #2018Goals?
One of my goals was to post twice a month on Foundations to Flights, it’s nearly the end of Feb and this is the first one 🙈.
I’ve taken my first flight since starting my blog; to Israel. I’m currently on my way back to my hotel in Nazareth after 2 amazing days in the Holy Land.
Today I found out my new mascara isn’t that waterproof after singing on the Sea of Galilee. The place of many of Jesus’ miracles brought about a slightly unexpected overwhelming and overflowing (from my heart and eyes! 😭). I say slightly unexpected as before I left I made a note on my itinerary where I expected to feel a certain way/experience a certain something… However, my second day in Israel with my church Worship Tabernacle, has shifted my expectations and brought me a new sense of peace.
If you want to follow my journey through Israel, follow me on Instagram and check out my saved highlights for some background.
Back to y(our) #2018Goals
In my last post I wrote about my own goals and giving myself time to really reflect. I’ve tried to continue adopting that, particularly in my last 24 hours before flying to Tel Aviv and also whilst I’ve been here.
We live in such a fast-paced, transactional society that we find it somewhat alien to take a moment to eat (without snapping) or pee (without playing Candy Crush and checking Twitter) – let alone taking time to pause to really focus on what we want to action and achieve.
In the month of love ❤️❤️❤️
Dedicate 30 mins to focus on what you love, what you want to love more and what you want to love better. Yes, 30 mins – please don’t roll your eyes! Watch Eastenders on iPlayer, pause Netflix, close Twitter – they’ll be there when you get back!).I know this may sound like “simple” advice. Sometimes the simple things can bring super transformations 🚶🏾♀️
Share how you’re going to spend your 30 mins: in Starbucks? In Prayer? In your iPhone Notes? Leave a comment or tag me on Twitter and let me know.
