You know when a story starts with “aite boom (or bloom!)” it’s going to be a good one!
January has finally finished! I have to say, as long as everyone says January is (every. single. year. ?), I enjoyed it!
I celebrated turning Twenty GREAT ???, I committed to the Daniel Fast (only consuming foods of the earth/soil, no meat, fish or dairy – a “veganuary” of sorts)???and I quit my job ??! My first day back in the office after the Christmas break, I slid my notice letter across the desk and I literally felt a weight lift off of me. I Meghan Markled.
to ‘Meghan Markle’ – defined as: to value yourself and mental health enough to up and leave a room/situation/environment in which your authentic self is not welcomed or wanted
I told you all 2020 is a year I have affirmed as Twenty GREAT (Growth, Restoration, Expectant, Abundance, Time) and I’ve already experienced every one of these things one month into the year! What else has God got in store?!
In the words of Crissle from The Read podcast: “words mean things!”. Understand this… there is power in the tongue – pray, speak over your life and address your affirmations. I recommend reading The Tongue, a Creative Force by Charles Capps.
Let me caveat that with this tremendous tweet from @jchenryonline
Conversations with the people closest to me (including an amazing coach) helped me gain clarity and confidence about what I want for myself this year and this decade, and I began my plan of action to achieve those things.
Whether you started the year blooming like me or you’re starting 2020 in February (!), consider the following things:
- What’s serving you and what’s straining you?
- What do you need to step out of and what do you need to step into?
I’m not in my final form, but I’m on my way. I’m blooming, aite?
